Summer has really hit the grid in a big way, With events like Summerfest kicking us all into the mood.
Although in RL it is winter where I am, It makes me so happy to dress like winter doesn't exist within SL.
My look in this post was very much in the spirit of the summer theme.

YAY Summer and all that it brings with it, Including a chance to show off more skin.
The swinsuits at Summerfest Event are to die for and there is such a huge amount of designs, It was hard to choose which to show off first.
I finally decided upon Baiastice's Caprice Monokini, It really did impress me with its design and the fit is perfect.
Matched with a new hair style by Spellbound that has a added bonus of this fedora hat (Comes with version and without for those who arnt big hat fans).
The wave in the style really screams fresh and beachy.
I couldn't forget my feet, Summerfest had that covered to with Noodles bring out their Peace and Harmony foot rope. These ropes have a base colour you choose and than an option for colour change for the flowers and peace signs.
Lastly throwing on the cute Summer Kimono by Tres Blah, I was finally ready to go get some ice cream.
Little did I know 8F8 had made it rain ice cream with their offering at this Arcade.
If you haven't made it to the Arcade yet to snap up these Ice Cream dream that look so good you want to eat the pixels on your screen... Than you really should hurry as there is only one week left of this round.

And who could resist this new skin by Glam Affair, I think they have out done themselves with this skin.
I have no words to express how beautiful it is and how I just stare at my av for hours after putting it on. Thank you for creating this skin, I am not taking it off for a very very long time, If ever!!!

Some pleasure in you're eyes

Dear SL...

Hi,
It's no secret that I love to dress up. Junbug Dresses always seem to hit the spot when a formal look or occasion arises.
This post theme is inspired by the novel, Gone With The Wind.
I feel so pretty and elegant... It just makes me want to spin around and never stop.
I have always loved these period pieces, I am very much a fan of olden style authors like Jane Austin and such.

Gone With The Wind as mentioned above is the theme brought to the gird by the event Seraphim Social.
I had a lot of fun putting this look together and have walked around the grid all prim and proper for days now.
The necklace by Cae with pearls and three gem filled hearts is so delicate and one I will use again and again.
It comes with a hud to change the gems and pearls, I just can not rave about it enough.
As usual there are many amazing poses to be found at the event but among them for me, The poses by Elephant poses stood out. Perfect for those big flowing dresses.

Lastly I want to bring your attention to the decor piece in the background.... I am forever looking for those little detailed pieces to fit near a hallway and this is just perfect for that and not to mention cute. Casita did an amazing job on it.

New hair by Spellbound has been released at the The Liaison Collaborative  - The Boutique event and it is so pretty. Almost makes me wish we could flip our hair in SL.
It does come with some small flowers set on one side as an accessory but due to the over all look of my theme I did not include them in the picture. However with the flowers, The hair creates a effect perfect for summer especially with those swimsuits/bikinis.

The designers have really brought out their A-Game!

The Arcade has always found a place in my heart with every round it seems to get better, This round was no exception.

B.C.C brought the picnic with these adorable baskets and lunch sets, Which will make your mouth water in RL.

The details in this set are amazing and well who doesn't want a picnic to lazy in the Secondlife sun.

I think Anya Ohmai's skills are second to none and When I laid eyes on these little fairy companions...I knew I had to have them all. But my Bumble Bee Fairy companion is the one i wanted most. I love him so.

Chapter Four always has something to offer, To add to my inventory hoarding and well I just had to add more than one of these flowing skirts by C'est la vie !. They just scream summer and They come with a great hud to change the pockets.

Hello Sunshine event has just opened and well Its not to be missed. 

Summer has officially arrived on the grid and this event has so much to offer, Including the above Sunflower top by B.C.C.

It no only comes in this pattern but many other and also they are offering a cute summer skirt to.

And lastly not forgetting to mention FLF event, This event has been running for so long and well its still one of my personal favourites.

With designers such as MishMish, Who brought us this cute little Broccoli guy in both companion and holding.

MishMish will have us all eating our veggies in no time.

Spellbound also released a new hair and if you haven't seen or gotten it by now, Your missing out!

Inspired by the Vikings show and by my favourite character Lagertha. Its just perfect and comes with the feather as a add on. The feather comes with a hud allowing many combinations of colours.

Kustom9 has also brought as an amazing round this month but I was particularly impressed with Vin Cue's offering. This dress was to die for and I don't think I will be taking it off any time soon. Just makes me swoon for the summer (Even though in RL I am stuck in winter, Oh so cold)

I have featured MERKABA earrings by LNS Designs, MeadowWorks decore items Goose Tall and short Bronze Path Light and also new poses called Etiquette by designer Fable.Tales.

What Have You Done

Dear SL...

Hi,
An update would be that surgery was a failure and has to be redone, and I am struggling with my blog picture layout.
I have so much exciting news other than that about an upcoming event, However lets deal with the current event this outfit has been inspired by.
The Labyrinth is one of my all time favourite movies as a kid and still is today.
Ever since this event theme was announced by Serafilms, The film is the last thing I watch before falling asleep and well my SL daughter Izzy is a huge fan to.

This outfit is of course from the opening scene of the film, and while a few things are a little off and not quiet the same.
I think I did pretty well and also take those differences as a flare of my own shining through.
The Library designed an inspired dress, along with Frogstar gotcha items (all must haves).
And of course this outfit wouldn't be complete without Ludo at my side, Created from the Geek horns and Birdy pug. (Yes I know she doesn't meet him til later but I liked the idea).
Oh and did I mention the clocks? They are by Wimey and just so much detail, They leave me speachless.
So many great designers in this event made my 80's dream come true and I hope to see more items inspired by this movie floating around the grid.

I have been really wanting to use the blossom head dress from CerberusXing made for the Fantasy Gotcha Carnival, But I wasn't sure how I would use such a item in an outfit.
Its so beautiful and only the right outfit would do it justice.
Lucky Violent Seduction came out with the most amazing outfit for Kustom9 and wow was I in love.

Sugar Gardens also came out with a range of hair accessories to match this outfit and feel, I picked up a few.
However not to distract to much from the head dress and outfit I kept it simple adding a butterfly.
So there you have it, My exotic look.
Time to go walk around staring at myself for the rest of the day and to put my hands under my blanket.

Once again the Fantasy Gotcha Carnival has given me inspiration to create a totally new and exciting character.
I love her look and as I started to put together the outfit/look I started to form even her personality and persona.
This hair by Damselfly is so well created and has a very soft texture, Perfect especially for those who like the lighter hair colours.
The chest piece although I haven't done it justice in this picture is so detailed and pretty. Its one of my favourite pieces in this round event. It gave the royal/noble feel to my av.
And of course the dragon ring is always a welcome sight as we all should by now love Game Of Throne and well again gives that elegant feel to the over all look.
All these items and more can be found at the fantasy gotcha carnival event.

Junbug has long been my go to for dresses, they always have a design to flatter the av and make it more magical.
Simple but effective this outfit really is one I think I will switch between when I want to feel different and more fantasy like.
